Hi Soniacan, I do the same thing, I think the bad food goes down easier. I really don't care that much about food, I got into the sweets and carbs bad. I haven't gained anything yet, but thats cuz I really dont eat that much. JUST CRAP LOLOLOLOL Mary PS I have joined weight watchers and eating veggies and good for you food.

Hello Leah, I am from Lowell, not to far from you. I had my surgery too at MMPC but Dr. Baker did mine, 10/26/06 I lost 48lbs right away. but none since then. So don't give up to soon. I am at 7 cc's in my 10 cc band and I am never hungry and often get stuck for awhile. But it goes away, I make all the wrong choices now. So work with the band till you are done. I did have a few things that got in my way ( ovarian cancer & had surgery ) but don't let that happen to you. I have joined weight watcher again and I am eating healthy. I had ovarian cancer last April and they didn't unfill me and I was missable, it was so tight, that I could only eat a bite of pudding. I tell everyone to have it unfilled when you have surgery.........

Hello everyone, Just stopped by to see the lastest post. Seems like everyone is doing good. I am still at the weight I was after my loss from the band. I am at 7 cc's and the dr won't give me another fill, says the band is doing what it is suppose to do. (I am not ever hungry) He said there is new findings. He said everyone is making their band, not working cuz they keep filling it when they don't need it. He said " when you have it filled you can't eat much so you drink and then you are hungry all the time. So then you start being bad and it stops working. So he threw the needle and everything in the trash. What does everyone think about that??????????? I have joined weight watchers and I will never give up, I can't. My daughter is getting married in July and I want to be in a size 14 aleast. I want to see everyone that used to be on here talking I miss everyone alot. Shirley thanks for keeping the tread going. Derbeygirl and Roxy123, you are doing great! Keep up the good work! I know how hard this is and you too are really making it happen. I love to hear how good everyone is doing, I think it makes me get the motivation to keep going myself. I need a fill but am recovering from surgery and the drs. want me to wait awhile. boooooooo! Hi, I had 4 cc's in my first fill, I was fine, the restriction goes away. My 2nd fill was 2cc's, I was fine. Yea, some places charge for a fill so of course they don't want to fill it to fast. They will lose money. My Dr. gives the 1st year free fills. I haven't been able to get anymore due to health issues, Nothing to do with the band. I was banded Oct 17th, but I do still feel restriction. But would love another fill. Soon I hope. I have lost 50 lbs. Mary

I'm going to start on Tuesday! I get home from vacation then. My son and his girlfriend are going to see my daughter and her fiance in Maryland. Only 11 hr. drive. YUK! Oh Hubby to is going LOL. I am seeing my Doctor for my 6 week check up on Thursday and I am hoping he tells me I can get a fill. I will be setting that appointment up right away! Good Luck everyone who is doing the challenge! I'm glad to hear everyone is doing OK, aleast no gains. I would love a fill, I have only had 2 since Oct.14th, 6 cc's. It seems like everytime I go to get one something else has happen. LOL I can start to say that I am feeling just a little better since my surgery. This is going to take some time, more than I thought. Shirley, how's it goin???? I miss hearing from you guys. Hey Shirley, GOOD LUCK on Monday! I will be thinking of you! Jimboss, I am glad to hear that you are doing great, What is your next goal? I am 6 lbs from onederland. Can't wait. Namazj- you really should get a unfill, it is bad to vomit, you will end up recking you band. Doesn't it get stuck 1st. I have had things get stuck and Oh my Gosh it hurts so bad, Does vomiting come after the pain? I know I can't eat shrimp. Good luck. Kstar- glad your bad with us. I am doing great. Everyone, saw my Dr. yesterday and he said cuz of my band and having a cat scan, that it saved my life. They would have never seen this until it was to late, he said we snatched the jaws of death away from me. I now have a new lease on life. I will be lossing this weight and starting over. Eat healthy and exersize. I want to live. I have been eating 3 meals and making sure I am full, it seems to help me not snack. I'll take any ideas anyone else would like to share. But thanks everyone for caring and praying for me. Mary

Hey Everyone, It has been 2 weeks since my surgery, boy has it been rough. I still am very sore, I have been walking alittle in the park across the street from me, but not much. There is so much pressure down below. I think it is from the staging? They took all my limp nodes out from my below too, at the top of the legs. But they said last week that they got everything and I don't have to do chemo. YAYAYAYAYA! I have lost only about 5 lbs. Can't believe only 5, I didn't eat for like 5 days. But they filled me with IV fuild so bad, my kidneys weren't turning back on so they forced them too! I pee'd so much after they took out the cat. Now I have decided to watch everything I eat Mon- fri and on the weekends do what I want. So that way I am still getting anything I want but have to wait for the weekend.(wish me luck LOL) But I want onerland. I am about there. Hey everyone come on and just tell us what you are doing for the week! Please I am going crazy here at home. Need some reading matterial plus look at all the old/new people coming back. Hi Everyone, I am back from HELL. Let me tell you that was not fun at all. Well, I had the big surgery it took almost 6 hrs (my poor hubby) after 3hours they came out and told him that there was abnormal cells so they were going to do the staging. But there wasn't cancer yet. so they opened me up the rest of the way. OUCH!!!! The one thing I will tell you is to have your band UNFILLED with any body Surgery!!!!!!!!! The swelling was bad so the band was tighter. so eating is like out. Then you can't pass gas cuz no food or liquid. I felt like I was going to blow. I have hardly eaten since last saturday. The Doctor said Monday that the test looked good. But will know in 10 days for sure. Then I will have to have a test every 3 months till 10 years. so I'm praying for that. But I am back and everyone get healthly! It is so important to do this. For everyone around too! My hubby was so upset & exhausted, this hurt him alot. (I say as the gas in my shoulder is killing me. ) But I do want to say that the health care is bad out there. We need to encourge our young childred to go into medicine or I can't think of what is going to happen to us, Oh the paper work is great! But the care of the people is very bad. We are so going backwards.We must fix this. Talk to people and see how there time in the hospital was? This is my new mission in life is to fix this. (OR HELP) OK lets move on with life! I'm back. Hey everyone, I am having surgery on Monday! It will take 2-6 hrs, depending on what they find. I have a 70 % chance of NOt having Cancer! I did tell him if they have to do the big surgery where they take out the limp notes that they should just take the band too! They have to go all the way up to do that surgery. I don't want chemo with the band. I will let you know when I come home. I am sad that I won't be getting my fill on 4/18 I think this one would have been the one that worked good. But will have to wait now. The 1st year the fills are free and I have only had two. By the time I get another I will ppy have to pay! LOL Well I would like to see that all of you guys are losing when I get back. Soon it will be hot and nice out. And lets all feel really good this summer. Take care Mary

Hello Everyone, It sounds like you guys have all been doing good. I am staying the same ppy cuz I eat all night long I just don't eat big meals. LOL But god I love the Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!! I am suppose to have a 3rd fill on April 18th, was looking forward to it, so I could get it going again. But my 2nd utlra sound wasn't good on my ovaries. Now my Doctor is sending me this wednesday to an Gynecologic oncology Doctor. Scarry huh! This way if it is Cancer, he can remove anything that it has effected, more scarry! But I am having surgery the compete Hsyto ASAP. I will let you know. I am worried, I just lost my brother last year to Cancer of the liver. I don't think my parents can handle another one. They are 73 and 77 yrs old. Boy things sure have been going on lately in my life. I have had enough. I will keep you posted. Sorry to bring it up, it should only be postive things on here, But I wanted to tell someone. Or needed too! Just say a pray for me I need all I can get LOL. But everyone have a great EASTER. But don't over do it. You can do what I do and eat all day just not all at once. LOL What is everyones favorite Easter candy. My hubbys is the peeps, would be mine too if I could roast them over a fire like a marshmellow. LOL Thanks for letting me vent. Mary
