  1. Fantastic everyone! Having surgery tomorrow - so nervous. Love seeing everyone's pics!!
  2. Hi everyone! I ended up showing up at the doctor's office on Monday. I was severely dilated! My esophagus was even inflamed. They couldn't figure out if it was a slippage or not. They took out all the fluid except for 1 cc (I was at 2.5). I'll be there next Monday for a follow up and to possibly add more fluid. I feel sooooo much better! I'm hungry though! I can actually sleep lying down now with no acid reflux. Yeah! Thanks for all the advice!
  3. Help! I've had the most horrible weekend ever. I got a fill almost 3 weeks ago (3 cc) and now it's really bothering me. Every solid food I eat comes back up and sometimes I cannot even drink water. I tried to call my doctor this weekend and couldn't reach him. I called 3 different ER's and they didn't know how to do a fill. After all these years doing lap bands, and no one in the ER knows how to do a fill! I am going in first thing to the doctor tomorrow morning without an appointment. I've had acid reflux so bad at night I cannot even lay down without sliming, I am coughing all night, and once, I woke myself up throwing up. Yikes!!!! I'm exhausted!
  4. Hey there! Had my surgery yesterday (yippee!) and am feeling sluggish, of course. I have shoulder pain (from excess air) but my lower back is bothering me so much since I've been lying down straight instead of fetal position. It's driving me crazy. I can't sleep well. Did anyone else go through this? What did you do to alleviate the crampiness? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the advice. I just don't have vacation time and do not want my employer to know. It's kind of personal. I have a huge event this weekend too. I'm in sales - not any heavy lifting, just dealing with customers and advising them on what to purchase. I'm going to say I have the flu. Is that horrible or what?
  6. I am having my surgery on 10/25 and am nervous. Haven't done very well on pre-op diet due to traveling for work and nerves! I plan on going back to work 2 days later. Need reassurance. Oh, I am a cash pay - insurance wouldn't cover me. Bummer!
  7. Hey everyone! I am having surgery on Wednesday. I am taking Thursday off but will return to work on Friday. Saturday is a big day for me (I'm in sales). I haven't told anyone at work what I am doing. Any advice for being prepared for work so early on?
  8. Hi everyone! I am new to this site. I would like to have lapband; however, Aetna will not cover my surgery. Does anyone know of a GOOD surgeon in DFW area or anywhere else in Texas that is relatively reasonable? Do any of the doctors partially finance? I have about $8,000 to put down. Thanks for the info!
