So, I have an upper GI scope scheduled for tomorrow morning. My Dr. scheduled it because I have really bad reflux. He wants to make sure I don't have any issues that would prevent me from having the sleeve done. So...to get to the point...

I woke up with (what I think is) a sinus infection or maybe just horrible allergies... I am not fevered, as of right now. Do you think they will still do the scope?

I know only the hospital/dr office will know for sure, but there isn't anyone in until tomorrow for me to ask. So, I figured I would ask you all.... *fingers crossed*

They will still do more than likely. I had the flue when I did my first one.

Thanks for answering... I hope so. I don't want anything to delay me finally getting sleeved...lol.

Just wanted to update you all...

I had the scope done today.

They found a hiatal hernia, which the Dr is going to fix whenever I get my sleeve done.

We were originally shooting for a surgery date of October 15th, but it looks like it will be later than that now... :-/

Anyone ever have a hernia repair at the same time as the sleeve?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
