I am really sorry to hear that you husband is cheating on you. I am sure no time is the right time to find out; however, your hormones are already out of wack due to your surgery. I have not had surgery yet, but I have read many posts about women spotting and have more than one period in a month. I don't think it is uncommon at all after surgery. Your body has gone through a major change and it is trying to figure things out.

I know you are going through a rough time and it is easier said than done, you have to make this about you. I honestly believe that there are many spouses (man or women) that have issues when their spouse has WLS. However, those are their issues and if they are not willing to open up and talk about it what can you do? Right now your priority is healing and getting yourself well.

Again, easier said than done. I am just so sorry you are going through this.

The one thing I have read on here is you must try to get to your calorie goal. That could hold you back or stall you. You know what and I have always said this, "You can change being fat, ugly you can't change." Did your husband have issues with you having the surgery that you know of?

that Lug! Yes you can gain wt. during stress, your body releases cortisone during stressful times (surgery included), and can make you gain/bloat. I'm so sorry for you but you will get on track and be hotter than ever. You'll show him!!!!

Regardless you must eat! He was a stupid f@#$, but don't allow him to make you sick. You will gain if not eating properly because your body is not going to know when it will get food regularly so it will store it leading weight gain.

It was HIS decision to cheat, you getting skinny is not an excuse. Stay strong!

The truth be told, he was probably cheating for a long time. This is his loss and your gain. Now it's time to focus on your recovery both physically from the surgery and emotionally from the cheating. You are going to be one hot chick and he is going to regret everything he's done. However, it sounds like your marriage was in trouble before you had this surgery so everything is on track. This is the universe speaking to you. Take care of you and do what you need to do. Stressors will cause weight gain but it's most likely Fluid retention. Get back to eating your Proteins and focus on you. You can only control you and what you do or don't put in your mouth. So don't let him stop you from getting the nourishment that you so need right now. :)

I was married with a cheater for 8 years.. I never had the balls to leave him becuase of our 2 young children. FYI the cheating never stops hunny. Point is I finally left him when he was cheating on me with my friend. It was hard and I can just imagin for u at this point how it must be. :( I would move into a friends house of family member until ur strong enough to do it on ur own. I'm really sorry!! U can do it, your pretty and young and ur going to lose weight. You are going to feel so accomplished. That's messed up he would do that knowing ur going through a hard time right now...

Although it seems like the worst possible thing to happen to you right now, this too shall pass. You are going to rock your sleeve and turn into the beautiful skinny b***h that is waiting to come out. DO NOT give him the satisfaction of also making you sick or a failure. Follow your program, schedule your mealtimes and force yourself to eat. Take one day at a time. Just concentrate on yourself because YOU are worth it:). Keep us posted we are here for you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
