What Did You Name Your Sleeve?

Recommended Posts

Sleeverella is the plan when I am sleeved. Transforming from the girl hidden in the attic made to feel like an ugly mess to a beautiful princess ( already married my prince charming, did it out of order, sue me, LOL!!!)

I will call mine: Sleevie Oneder, and it won't be long before I can say I'm in One(derland). Yep I like that :D

That's great. I loved that movie. "I wonder what happened to the Oneders."

I named my sleeve Stella.

The few coworkers that know I had surgery know that I refer to my new stomach as Stella and it's basically a code work when I talk about my new stomach not liking something, making noise, or not feeling a certain food.

Holy geez. I never thought about naming my sleeve before I read this thread. I thought it was funny and thought on it for a little minute and came up with sleevarella. Smh, just a little fun.

I'm leaning towards "Slim- Pickins," Cause it sure doesn't hold much!

These are great!!! I've had such trouble keeping a positive outlook on things lately and the humor about it all helps!! Yes I'm still 100% me but a little fun goes a long way in my book!!

Keep em coming'

My sleeve is Rex, because he was downsized from a T-Rex. ;) And, my sleeve is male because he doesn't like certain things, like chocolate.. and only a man would keep a woman from eating chocolate when she wants it! :)

I may go with Beau.

Beau Boone could be my alter ego. I am liking this second chance at mid life.

:)

i like Skinny Minney. I've never been called skinny in my entire life, but it's possible with the changes that getting sleeved will bring.

I know people are having fun with this' date=' but let me tell you why I would never consider naming the sleeve. It is still my stomach, it is still me, it is just a smaller stomach. I am working to de-emphasize food and eating in my life, to make it just be a normal way to get sustainance. I just feel like naming it gives it too much focus, too much of a centerstage and potentially, too much power (in my own mind).[/quote']

I'm still going to enjoy fine food and wine, just not as much. In alloherways I agree with Jane 100%

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
