Not bad. Most of my "for VSG" scars are barely noticeable, or at worst a medium pink color. Very thin, like lines drawn with a pen.

A few are worse, but they were re-opened for multiple surgeries.

The condition of YOUR scars may vary and will depend on things like HOW you scar. That in turn depends on a lot of different things.

Please see this post I made a while back. It's easier to link it than recreate. :)

I'm 20 months post-op and from a foot away you can't see them. If you get up close and know where to look they are visible but they have faded to almost my normal skin tone.

It really depends on how your skin reacts, it's a laproscopic procedure so the incisions are very small. I tend to scar very badly and have enough of 'em to impress any chick :) Mine too are pretty mild looking with the largest one kinda pink and rough and visible if you're looking for it.

I would place this near the BOTTOM of any list of concerns you would have about surgery. The benefits sure outweigh ANY scarring by far.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
