@yaz...it is a great bday gift just wish I could feel like I could tell family and friends without out being judge..I'm doing my more for health issues then anything else but still ...if I mention it everyone says "why are you thinking about that your perfect the way you are" and the dreadful" you have such a beautiful face" like I'm gonna turn into the swap thing after I have it. !!

@graybeauty LOL I get the same here! You have such a pretty face :) but what about the rest of me? I told my best friend and she tried to convince me otherwise. Saying what an invasive procedure it was and if I only worked out and watched what I ate I would be fine. Hello? Do you think I haven't tried many many times before? This is a personal decision and even if more support would be helpful you do this for YOU!

I know the feeling, am only on day 3 of 14, cheated a little, I just have to put my mind over metter, we will do good, I get sleeved on 9/7, we can support one another.

(copying this from another post I made elsewhere on the forum)

I was on a liquid diet for two weeks prior to surgery with a non food/drink after midnight the night before admission. I cheated and had chicken most nights for dinner but was very honest with my surgeon about that. While I am sure he was not 100% happy, he did not chastise me.

I am not a medical person but honestly, I think they expect a certain amount of cheating. You are asking people with serious issues concerning food and weight to stop eating! I would say that if you cheat, keep it simple, do not go overboard and really try to stick to liquids the day or two before surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
