I'm scheduled for surgery 8/27 in Memphis....looking for other Tennesseans to share the journey with. I'm both excited and scared.

Just thought I would say hello. I am in Murfreesboro too. This is my first post. I am very early into the process, and honestly am not sure whether I will get approved by my insurance or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am also going to MTMC, but haven't met with a specific Dr. yet. Dr. Eckles did my initial seminar. I am doing my psych and attending support meeting next week. Have had a physical and am waiting on labs and letter to be sent to insurance company. That's about it. It's good to know there are people nearby that have gone through this process!

Good luck with everything. I used Dr. Westmoreland and loved him.

I am also having the sleeve done at MTMC, and Dr. Westmoreland is my surgeon. I am scheduled for May 15th and I can't wait!!!!

I'm from Memphis and Woodman is doing my surgery too! How long did it take from insurance approval til actual surgery date?

I got my sleeve on Valentin's day in Memphis by Dr V Weaver and I'm down 60 pounds. I have found the best protein shake is the Body Fortress brand made with skim milk is 34g of protein and the Akins with 15g of protein.

Dr Weaver is awesome. Your liver shrink diet is not that bad.
