Hey everyone.

I am getting ready to schedule my surgery, but am not sure how many days of work I should take off. How many days did you take off?

Thanks to everyone. I have a job that requires me to sit most of the time but, a few times a week I need to stand and talk/chat with people for an hour to 1.5 hrs strait. Do you think it is realistic to be able to do that two weeks out from surgery? As of now I am planning on taking about 2 weeks off, if there is no complications.

I would at least take 2 Weeks, depends on your job. I sit alot, but also get up and down alot.at one point I did stand for an hour.that was the hardest.I hurt after standing for an hr straight.

My surgeon said to plan to be off 2 weeks, but that could be extended if I'm not feel up to returning to work after my 2 week checkup visit.

I had surgery on a monday & started a new job the next monday.
