How Many Calories Is Everyone Eating At Mushy Stage?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I wanted to get a general idea of what everyone is at calorie wise for the mushy/purée stage. Right now I'm only really eating tuna and eggs, so if you have any ideas to help bring variety I would greatly appreciate that too! ;-)

On my post-op plan pureed and mushies are not the same thing. But, I am on pureed right now and can eat refried Beans with some cheese and sour cream, egg salad, chicken salad, yogurt, ricotta, cottage cheese, pudding, Soups that are pureed, etc.

I didnt think we could eat straight cheese yet, like a slice of cheese (I am a cheese freak). But, I have put some on my Beans and melted it.

I am a cheese freak myself! Lol i have longed for a cube of medium cheddar cheese since the day i started my preop diet two weeks ago. I was told by someone on here that cheese was a yes on pureed stage but i chicken out and melted it on my refried beans today and oh my the refried beans were delicious a lil sc and valentina salsa added and some cheese mmmm. I did really well with it and had no problems.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
