Sugar Substitute - Swerve

Recommended Posts

Any of you try this? You can use it 1 to 1 ratio as sugar, bake & cook with it & it's supposed to be safe for diabetics.. I am not diabetic, but I know that I would never want to use Splenda, because it's horrible for your body and a lot of people dislike Stevia... So just curious if anyone's tried Swerve?..

sugar-free baking and cooking. Many people ask if Swerve is stevia. Swerve does not contain stevia or lo han guo. Unlike other natural sweeteners that have a bitter aftertaste, Swerve tastes remarkably like sugar and has a clean, sweet taste."

I just order a sample pack. I hope it doesn't have that "Artificial" taste. I've been using Truvia and it's still has that funky after taste...

it doesn't. i use it myself. i was worried about that, too. lol

truvia is made out of stevia & stevia is an acquired taste. but on the plus side, it won't rot your teeth & doesn't spike blood sugar. :) i dunno if swerve will rot your teeth or not, but it doesn't spike blood sugar, so that's good! :)

I tried the sample and LOVED it. Just ordered 3 one pound bags.

Truvia, Equal, Sweet and Low or whatever fake sweetener, they all taste horrible. Tastes like chemicals to me.

My husband is diabetic, so this will be nice for him too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
