Plano for me too! Long drive from Granbury but my understanding is the davinci really helps with recovery time. You will have to let me know what to expect!! This has been an adventure for me since FEBRUARY!!!!

I'm having my VSG at Presby Plano too on 8/21. I had my Davinci hysterectomy there last July! (And a tonsillectomy the year before.) I joke that I keep losing body parts to them every summer!

Hey Super,

How was your recovery for your hyster? Woh did your hyster and who is your wls surgeon? Do you think it really made a difference using the davinci? That is part of the reason my date got pushed. It's the first date both surgeons, the O.R. and the davinci are available. Hoping the davinci is worth the wait!! hahaha or weight, since the food funeral will now continue a few extra weeks.

fattymcfatterson,

I see that Dr. Cribbins is going to be your VSG surgeon and that Dr. Heffernan will be doing your hysterectomy. I had/am having their partners Dr. Hamn and Dr. Munoz. LOL

My recovery from my hysterectomy went pretty smoothly and comparing it to others (a friend had a hysterectomy the same month) I think that the DaVinci made a difference. About a week after surgery, I went over and hung out with friends and they were amazed at how great that I was doing. That said, don't overdue it too soon b/c you'll set yourself back. Like I started trying to do a lot of cleaning/laundry and things in the 2nd week and then I felt like I did on Day #2 or 3. I also definitely would get drained energy-wise so much more easily after hysterectomy and that probably lasted for a month or more (getting progressively better).

Good luck with your surgeries! I think that's it's great that you're getting them over with at the same time!

Drs. Munoz and Heffernan are both first rate. Munoz performed a cutting edge hysterectomy plus heated interpereteneal chemotherapy on my Mom 3.5 years ago and literally saved her life. Heffernan assisted. Couldn't find another surgeon in Dallas at that time who was doing it. Can't possibly say enough good things about them both!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
