Woohoo! Weighed Myself For 1St Time Today

I'm 5 days post op and doing ok. I told myself I wouldn't weigh in until my 1 week post op appt with my Dr but I couldn't wait. I've lost 8 lbs in 5 days, so I'm thrilled! I have a BMI on the lower end for this surgery, so I'm expecting weight loss to be a little slower than some others. I get to start protein Monday, and I'm looking forward to not feeling so weak and tired. Still having internal spasm like pain at night which causes me to have to wake up and walk a lot! Looking forward to sleeping through the night one of these days.

Great job, you'll get more energy once you start the protein.

I had the spasms the first night. My surgeon prescribed lorazapam a few doses and they went right away. Maybe something to ask your surgeon? I did have to request the muscle relaxer, but they were completely willing to give it. Worked like a charm for getting better sleep too! Good luck!

Congrats on the weight loss! I am currently at the exact same spot you are! I hope things are getting easier and easier day by day for you. ;-) Good luck with everything!
