  10. I will be three months post opt on Oct 4. I have no regrets about the surgery. I feel awesome! I have been honest and shared with those around me that I had gastric sleeve. Initially, when I told people they were more hesitant that I was going to Mexico for the surgery than actually having the surgery. I prayed about every aspect of having the surgery, going to Mexico and family support. God is so awesome! My surgery was complete in 38 minutes. Within a few hrs post opt I was up walking around- talking with others in the hall- eating ice chips and no PAIN!! I asked my husband if he was sure that I had really had surgery other than my incisions - I felt great! I thank God for a supportive husband and finding a great surgeon to help me loose the weight that I have battled with all of my life. As time approaches you may feel more nervous- I did. But the morning of my surgery- I woke with a great peace within and ready to begin a new life fully trusting that my God was with me through it all!!! And HE still is!!! Sending prayers your way!! Michelle
  11. I will be three months out on Oct 4th and Yes I do think that sometimes and then I suffer from it....lol. I am still adjusting. I know my brain has not caught up yet. I have more than a moment or two already..lol.
  12. I had mine on July 4, 2012 and I am doing great! No complications everything was wonderful- total cost $5500
  13. Thank you for sharing! I am two months out and so thankful that I went through this process as well. I feel so much better!! This site has been so helpful to me throughout the process of deciding to go through with the surgery and then post op. Thank you everyone!

  15. The hospital is with the Florence Healthcare systems
  16. Dr. Kelly, Cece and Omar were all wonderful! I was there July 3-8 (hospital 3-5) . I am on hormone replacement therapy and he said they would take extra precautions for blood clots ..but I did not receive heparin shots..just wearing the compression socks. Omar brought in an egg shell mattress for my husband to make the bed softer. Lol. The hospital was called Oasis of Hope florence Healthcare Systems. Staff there was wonderful as well. I didn't need pain meda beyonds my stay even though it was sent home with me. My biggest fear was bloodcots too...but my experience was so much easier than my hysterectomy. I had no pain, no nauseousness ..I walked and walked to help prevent bloodcots. I am 3 wks out and 19lbs down. I feel wonderful!
