  7. I don't get it, I have had substantial hair loss...but only on my head!! still need to shave and pluck everywhere else I have always had to "lady-scape"!! LOL. that's kinda jacked up!! ;o) is it just me?!?!
  8. hello! I'm 9 months post sleeve and have lost almost 80 lbs, and very happy with my progress, but my weight loss has all but halted the last month or two. My doctor said that after the first 6 months this happens, but I am didn't think it would slow down THIS MUCH! I have not started exercising or anything like that, I know that would help, just wondering if other people are going through this and/or what advice you have to offer regarding it! THANK YOU

  11. wish I had the BALLS to say that!! when people ask me how I lost the weight I'm honest about it b/c enough people at my job know the truth so I don't want to deal with lying to them...they are always so disappointed when i tell them i had the surgery! its like i just told them that Santa was fake!! LOL. the way i look at it, if there was a "magic pill", OPRAH would have found it already! and if she is still curvy then it hasn't been discovered yet so surgery was what was best for me....so SUCK THOSE BALLS! ;o)

  16. I know its a little early to get too excited, but as of yesterday I finally hit ONEderland!! 198.6! That is also just about the half way point for my weight loss journey, about 60 lbs to go. Whew! Feels like it took forever to get here!! so excited!! Now, if I could just stop my hair from falling out, everything would be perfect!! LOL
  17. My hair was almost to my bra strap. I got it cut pretty short. Just praying what I have left does not fall out.
  18. i prayed it wouldn't happen to me, i love having mid-to-long length hair, but my hair has gone limp and thin post-op. im finally giving in and getting a shorter style. on the plus side, i've lost enough weight in my face that i'm more comfortable going shorter (i have a football face like stewie on family guy...ugh). praying my beautiful locks will once again be there when i look in the mirror!!!
  19. im about 4 months out, i weigh almost everyday, or at least every 3 days. when i know i'm retaining Water or having my period i'll skip a day or two. i know a lot of people think its bad to weigh that much. but i can be anal about stuff and if i didn't do it everyday it would be ALL i thought about, LOL. so i just do it to get it over with.
  20. i have 2 cousins that has this surgery done 4 yrs ago. they drink soda. not a lot, but they treat themselves from time to time...even a beer sometimes. it has not stretched their tummys or effected their weight loss, one of them is currently a size 2. i asked them about it and they said you just burp more than before, lol.
  21. i am "gifting" my self every 30lbs, if i hit my goal i also plan on doing boudoir pics. even found the photographer already!! i talked to my husband about it and he is good with it (shocker, ha ha)...i figure these pics will just be for me and him...but that will be something to Celebrate all the hard work )
  22. I still have a lot to lose, but i'm down 50 lbs. i've been mostly just shopping my closet, which is a lot of fun! There have been a few times I have gone into a store and just turned around and walked out because it was all just so overwhelming. I cant wait till that passes and i can enjoy shopping for the first time in a LONG time!
  23. fishingnurse, I saw you wrote now and then you'll have a beer...do you drink carbinated sodas? If so, how does your sleeve tolerate it? Over time, did if feel like your sleeve expanded? Congrats on making your goal!!!
  24. I knew i had lost weight when 2 work jackets I bought years ago never fit...and now I can layer them together and STILL have room in them!!! The funny thing is I often layer them because since losing weight i am cold ALL THE TIME! LOL
  25. i know everyone is different, but i was hoping just to get a general idea... how much weight did you lose month 2? month 3? 4? etc?? i did very well my first month, lost about 30 lbs. I know that I will slow down as I go, but I was wondering how much i'll slow down. i'd like to lose about 15 lbs this month, but i'm not sure if that is realistic or not. thanks for your input!!
  26. i think it goes both ways. people treat you differently, but as we lose weight we become more confident and more approchable, outgoing, etc. so i think we invite more attention than just being the wallflower.
  27. I use nectar protein. Lots of flavors, very good. You can order a sample pack online to try them before you buy.
