Ok so my surgeon took my stomach out through an incision on must right side, a couple inches over from my belly button. I had pain at the incision site for the first 2 weeks. I'm now just over 4 weeks out and haven't had any pain. This morning I woke up in a lot of pain but no where near that site its further over to the right. It hurts to breathe, it hurts to move. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be from? Appendix? I don't know if I should go to the walk in clinic or try to wait it out. I don't see my PCP till Wednesday.

Could be appendix or even gall bladder. GB pain can radiate all over the right side. Can't you put a call into you PCP and see what they say. Best of luck.

Whenever I call they always tell me they can't tell me anything over the phone, that I need to come in and get checked.

When you press down does it hurt more pressing in or on the release?

Reason I ask is that the pressing down doesn't hurt as much as the release if it is an appendicitis.

Does it hurt to jump up and down? Another tell-tale sign of an appendicitis.

I would say go to the ER and get checked out if you can't get through to your surgeon's office. I know it is awful when stuff like this happens on a weekend.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

It hurts to walk. I can't stand up straight to walk. I don't know if I should go to the e.r. or walk in clinic.

And my surgeons office is an hour away so they would probably want me to go to the e.r. there instead of here.

I second that - go to the ER - right away - do not pass go, do not collect your $200, just go - that is NOTHING to fool around with.

Yup mine is on the right of my belly button. My labs at the e.r. came back as normal so I'm not dying and that's all they care about. They don't care that I'm in a lot pain. They sent me home with tylenol 3

I had the same type of pain and it turned out to be trapped gas.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
