So Monday Aug 6th was my first day back at work since getting sleeved on July 2nd. I wake up at 5:30am to make it to work by 8am.. I get home between 5-6pm which means dinner is done by 6-7pm. I am so exhausted that by the time I eat all I want is to lay down and rest and hopefully fall asleep and get my full 7-8 hours of rest. I know we are suppose to stay active for at least 2 hours after eating but how does everyone do this??? I could barely keep my eyes open

Listen to your body. Rest when you need to rest. Even if it is just a quick nap. I would focus on staying hydrated and getting your Protein in. You can worry about the rest later. Right now your body is taking every ounce of protein you consume to heal a wound, which doesn't leave much in the energy department. Once your stomach starts to heal, you will notice an increase in energy levels. Hang in there.

I agree. Go with the rest. Just going back to work is a lot of activity when you are healing. Cut yourself some slack. The rest will come!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
