Has Anyone Noticed A Change In Their Sleep Patterns?

Recommended Posts

I'm 15 days post-op and my sleep has been terrible the whole time. I wake up and can't fall back asleep all of the time!! Hoping its temporary.

I wake up so many times during the night. I wake up thinking "oh it must be morning" only to glance at the clock and see its only been an hour since I woke up before...

I am not sure if this applies to any of you, but the first night that I tried to sleep without any pain medication after surgery was a little bit rough. I wasn't in any real pain, but I wasn't knocked out and I could feel the places where the trocars were. It itched and was just a little bit uncomfortable - not enough for narcotics, though. My mind was also racing. I'm not sure if it will go away. I've only had two days so far where I didn't take anything for pain before bed. I was sleeved 1 week ago, today.

I have not slept well in awhile, I thought it was due to all the Protein I was taking in. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea this wk and hopefully this coming Wednesday I will have the second part of my study and I hope that the c-pap and the wgt loss after surgery (8/29) it will all go away.. I am ready for a good night sleep. :)zzzzz's needed

Ghrelin levels are related t sleep duration. There are studies suggesting that high levels of ghrelin are connected to short sleep duration so post surgery we should expect upset to our sleep pattern but eventually find we sleep more. Obviously this won't be the case for everyone but there definitely is a link between ghrelin and sleep.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
