@ Butterfly

Make sure you keep in touch. It would be great to hear about your post surgery. Congrats on the 11lbs so far!! They moved my date to the 4th. I won't be to far behind you!!!

I have my meeting at Snyergy wednesday. Hopfully they are helpful. I think I learned more from here. Did you try the unjury chicken Soup mix? I just ordered some. I am not a big fan of sweet. I am a big fan of Skinny and healthy.....

OMG we are soon to be losers! Yep pretty excited.

Oh my goodness no date until today and already you are moved up two week…..good for you.
I am even more excited for you. Is the meeting for your pre op workshop? I have not tried
any of the Unjury things. I did get a tub of the fusion unflavored and mix that with some
of the premade drinks I have and it seems to cut some of the sweet. I haven’t gotten too
much post op items, I want to wait and try some things first. I have heard from some people
that their taste change and they couldn’t drink the same shakes as before surgery. I don’t
want to waste money on things I won’t be able to stomach.

@ Butterfly

Yes it is my pre op workshop. I heard the same thing about post op and taste changing. All I know is you have to get your Protein in. Totally agree with you. Not really into wasting money.

YOu must be getting excited yourself! Days away. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Another WNYer here. I've been reading the forums for two years or so. I have been back and forth on who to go with and I think I've decided on Synergy Bariatrics. I am chosing this mostly as that is the easiest for me to get to.

@@lavendermom3 I see that's your Dr. too. Can you tell me where they actually do the surgery? Is it ECMC or Buffalo General? I plan to call their office tomorrow to get the ball rolling and I think that's the only question I have, so far.

Thanks so much!

@ Itsmeanoymous

They do it at ECMC. My suggestion is go online and do the online seminar and print the paperwork out. Then call your primary MD and get them to sign the paperwork agreeing to the surgery for you. Send the paperwork back to Synergy and they will make you an appt. Call and Pay the money to have the NUT/nutirtion visit with Ann Marie. Get that stuff out of the way.

you can do alot of stuff right online first.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
