I'm still in quite a bit of pain. Don't want to take pain meds cuz I'm horribly constipated. I can't get anything to work. It feels like trying to push a softball out of a small hole. I only hope things get better.

You may have to manually disimpact it...which is exactly what it sounds like, TMI but lube up a finger and, er, break it up.

:/

i agree with pookey. unfortunately i just had the same problem last friday. i ended up going to er because i was in so much pain. the doc said i had 2 options: be admitted and let the nurses remove it.or go home and remove it myself. i chose to do it myself. doc said get an enema and stool softeners and just do what i can. i didn't use the enema, but one the hard stuff came out i did use the stool softeners to keep things moving. it sucks but you have to do it. take Fiber supplements, like metamucil, afterwards too. good luck and i'm sorry you have to do this.

I take Miralax every other day to keep things moving & I'm 10 weeks out & haven't had any issues so far. Fiber supplements can work too sometimes, but they can also bulk things up for some people & make things worse. Sometimes I have forgotten the Miralax for a few days, but now that I'm on more solid foods, I have been able to decrease the Miralax some & still be okay. I still make sure I take it if I feel even the slightest bit of buildup though. If I haven't taken it in a while, sometimes it takes a day to work, but I still haven't had any major issues as long as I take it.

Definitley the gylcerine suppositories. Not fun shoving something up where it shoudl be coming out, but you will feel a hundred times better. Just had to do this last night myself. Glad I did.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
