My one year Surgiversary is coming up on July 22. I initally lost about 65 pounds in the first 3 months, then lost weight very slowly over the next 8 months for another 25 pounds. I was really kind of bummed and decided that I had lost all I thought I would until about 2 weeks ago when I just started losing again. I have lost almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Not that I am complaining, because I would really like to lose another 20 pounds. But all that being said I can't believe how much better life has been.

I have to say I don't like to think that I am thin, just that I am now normal.

If you are eating healthy and keeping a moderate pace on exercize, it seems totally possible that your body has caught up, so to speak, and is back on a level that it can let go of weight again.

You are so normal from what I have been reading for over a month now. Congrats to you  . I just started my journey and don't have surgery for awhile. But losing 100 lb in a year is quite an accomplishment. I'm sure you will make your goal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
