Question For The Post Op Mommies Of Children Aged Two And Below?

Recommended Posts

Hi this question is especially for the single mothers. I wanted to know for the moms who had help whether a relative stayed with you or you sent your child(ren) with a relative, how many days did it take you to return to mommy functions (i.e. picking baby up from crib, and regular interactions with your LO?) My aunt will be watching my almost two year old and I'm trying to have an idea of how many days he should spend with her, or any additional advice to help for when he does return home. Thanks in advance.

Wondering this too! My Lo is 15 mos... Will be 19 when I am sleeved & i still have to get him from his crib & stuff, so I don't have the option of not lifting weight & that worries me.

Hi ladies :) I was sleeved on 4/25th and I have a 3 yr old son that was 3 on 4/18. My Dr said not to lift over 10lbs until 6 weeks out. Otherwise you have a chance of getting an incisional hernia. You're still healing until then. My mom stayed with me for 2 weeks, and then I went out of state (where they are) and stayed for 2 weeks. My parents did all the heavy lifting and such. I could have him climb up on the couch next to me, but I couldnt lift him up in or out of his crib. By the time my 4 weeks were up though, I was ready to get back to life. I went home and had to do the lifting while my husband was at work. I never had any problems but it was almost impossible for me to NOT lift him before the 6 weeks were up. I think you just need to be cautious and do the best you can. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
