Ok, I Am Going Crazy With Anticipation And Have A Question?

Recommended Posts

Ok, when I first went to the doctor they said I needed to have 6 months of weight management and then Cigna changed their rules and now I only have to have 3 months of weight management. So my first weight management class was June 25th. My second one is scheduled for July 23rd and I'll be having my third one probably on August 20th or 27th. What I want to know is how soon after the last weight management class I can get the surgery? Will it have to be a month or can they roll me into surgery on August 30 or September 1st? Enquiring minds want to know?

Nice - I did 6 months of supervised WL and in the 7th month - my insurance lifted that requirement completely lol. Good to get 44 lbs. off before surgery anyway. I suppose it depends on your surgeon, but as long as you have all of your pre-op tests complete it can happen very fast - my husbands took only about three weeks.

it depends on the doctor and the hospital, there really is no easy answer for you on this one. I finished my classes on June 1st, I had to go back for a final clearance from the pulminologist. I got my medical clearance the middle of June, insurance approval a week later and then was told on July 2nd that my surgery had been scheduled for July 17th.

I wish you the bast of luck!

Cool, I've been to the cardiologist, the psychiatrist and have another appointment for a stress test with the cardiologist on July 10th, although he said he is going to clear me. I also have another appointment this month with my PCP to get her clearance, I think July 16th or 23rd. So as soon as the weight management classes are finished hopefully I'll be good to go. So I'm hoping for September I guess.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
