6 Months Out, 125 Pounds Down -

Recommended Posts

Remember that VSG changes your life..but you don't have to live in misery. I still enjoy foods like I did before, just can't over eat them. I stay away from the bad ones and focus on the ones I know are good for my body. The VSG will open your mind to health which many of us really weren't educated on. For you guys out there, I can still chug a half a beer. I'm doing it right now as I type. Your life doesn't have to end because you be come healthy, you learn to incorporate it. Now mind you, I can't drink a whole bottle of jager any more (I used to be a legendary partier). I'm loopy after 3 shots anymore..makes me a cheaper drunk and the ladies seem to like that!!!!!

Totally agree with mr worm. Seems scary in the beginning that no more of this or that but enjoy life people and don't deprive yourself totally... Live a little..... Still love my beer too and yes I got buzzed after only two beers last night. : )

I'm a cheap date just gotta find that date now!! lol

Mr_Worm, I see that low carb is the way that leads to weight loss as well as lean Protein. I cannot find info on the VSG site about how low our carbs should be. Do you have any suggestions that led to your success?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
