I would start drinking the fluids AND put a call in to your doctor to let them decide if you need to go to the ER.

You're welcome. If you have some Gatorade in your house, drink that to get your electrolytes up. I would never have imagined how hard it is to get in all of the required fluids, but I'm struggling right along with you. Good luck and keep sipping!

Help..' date=' I think I am dehydrated :( do I have to go to hospital or just drink a lot of liquids?[/quote']

What does your urine look like? If it's more yellow than clear, then yep, you're dehydrated.

I second the vote on Gator Ade. Not the low calories, stuff, either. The higher calorie stuff absorbs better. Your #1 priority is getting rehydrated, not losing weight. The body absorbs 53% of Water ingested, but over 70% of Gator Ade. I start slam dunking Gator Ade at the first symptom of dehydration. Mine happens to be dizziness, not dark urine. You should check your BP and pulse rate, also. Dehydration causes a lowering of BP and an increase of pulse rate. If you have significant symptoms, you should get professional help ASAP. They can put you on a saline drip and you'll be fine after a liter or two of fluids is infused. Dehydration can be very serious if left untreated. I've been on an IV four times, already, so I know! Best of luck!

Drink lots of gatorade and head for the hospital. Dehydration is nothing to foul around with! Dehydration can cause damage to your kidney's, your blood gets thicker and your blood pressure will drop. So please go get an IV to help get you pasted this really quick. Urgent care's can also give you an IV. :) Keep us posted. Thanks

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
