Having A Hard Time

Recommended Posts

I need to lose weight before I get approved and I'm having such a hard time. I'm good for a week, eating right going to the gym but the weekend hits and I'm bad. I don't go to the gym and I make bad choices. I have PCOS which makes it harder to lose and I do have depression. I'm taking Zoloft. I just need someone to talk to that understands.

Nancy, I am just beginning my journey toward surgery so I will be in the same place you are in having to lose weight to meet insurance requirements. I can say from personal experience that exercise definitely makes me feel better and curbs my appetite. You don't necessarily have to go to the gym for hours, but some form of physical activity for 30 minutes a day will definitely help with your depression and your appetite. For the times you don't feel like going, try to visualize how you will look and feel once you reach your goal. No decision comes without hard work and dedication. There is no quick fix. Good luck to you! Christi

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. Are there WLS support groups in your area? You may find those helpful in terms of just having people to talk to who understand. This is a great place for support, too. Do you have some friends or family members who will exercise with you on the weekends? Maybe take a walk or go for a bike ride, throw a frisbee, go to the pool, or anything that involves burning some calories? Hang in there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
