Good morning everyone. I'm only 6 weeks out and have strep throat. I had a shot yesterday, my concern is dehydration. I usually get strep once a year and I'm out of commission for two weeks. It hurts so BAD to swollow. the only thing I've had is sugar free Popsicles this is messing me all up with my Protein and fluids!!!!

Right now focus on fluids. The Protein is very important, but not as important as staying hydrated. Try some broth or tea or even coffee if warm feels good. I see cold feels good, so Popsicles are good. Put Crystal Light in the freezer 'til it's slushy. Every little bit helps. I hope you feel better soon.

I would have to say you need to go in for an IV and just assum you are going to get seriously dehydrated.

You get this each year? Are you taking eann or amox? if you are,and this is what you take each time, you may want to consider a newer antibiotic. I have an aquaintance that took a newer antibiotic tht was based on targeting not just the strep but the "protective" symbiotic germs that often accompany strep - she took 5 days and was better...she got it again the next year, and they followed with same med, but this time, she took it again 4 months later, and such for 2 years, with aggressive treatment in the nose with a creme...she is almost 2 years since her last "yearly" strep attack.

I can get the name of the medication if you are interested.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
