Okay, varying answers to drinking coffee post op- my place says no way, never (only decaf.).

I'm about 3 weeks from surgery and I start to wean and then do my 2 cups again (I really don't want tat horrible headache post op. so want to get it out).

Decaf. gives me heartburn and since heartburn can be a problem after surgery that seems kind of crazy for me to even bother with.

However, I use a Kuerig, getting my boxes delivered, and if anyone gets K-cups that don't give them heartburn can you please recommend? TIA!! Maybe the problem is I like it really bold.

I get the Donut Shop Decaf. I am afraid it is not bold, though. I have switched to peppermint tea since surgery. I even have k-cups for it.

I am loving Tully's French Roast Decaf. It doesn't taste decaf at all.

I was a huge coffee drinker, I drank Dunkin Donut K-cups, my husband likes the bold kind of K-cups. I quit about a month before the pre-op and switched to a Breakfast like decaff K-cup though I can't remember the name. I haven't gone back to the decaff coffee and I had started drinking Bigelow Peppermint Decaff Tea before surgery and I just put the bag in my cup and press the button and use the hot Water that comes out of the Keurig.

I tried a few sips of decaff once....and felt ill, I'm done with decaff for now. Maybe next summer when I'm healed I'll try a decaff Ice Coffee. I've gone almost 2 months without caffeine, I see no reason to go back to it.

Thanks for the suggestions and it's great to hear that big coffee drinkers like myself survived.

The other thing is coffee helps me....go.... I guess the caffeine.

Did any of you fear Constipation because of no coffee and find it was okay?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
