Finally on soft foods. I actually ate some chicken noodle Soup today. I ate the chicken, carrots and few of the noodles. It was good to finally chew something after five weeks of liquids/pureed. I am happy it stayed down. Unsure of how much to eat as I am not sure what my full trigger/s will be. I am sure I will find out soon enough.

I FINALLY found Cream of Wheat Whole Grain today after weeks of looking for it. And I also found the higher proetin fat free milk I have been hunting for. I live in Southern California too, and you would think I wouldn't have a problem with all the stores here! can't wait to have some in the morning!

I had Cream of Wheat, brown sugar flavor, for Breakfast this morning. It was the instant packet kind my mom had. I thinned it with some almond milk and ate about half of it. It went down fine. I'm 8 days post-op and on purees. But, FYI, I didn't have a "full liquid" stage, just clears to pureed, so I'm not sure what it counts as.

I'm at day 11 and have been having Cream of Wheat this week with no problems. I have splenda with it too. We are told to limit ourselves to 1/2 cup. I've done oatmeal too.

It is interesting with the different diet stages with different doctors. I had my surgery in Mexico and the diet I was advised follows the Vanderbilt sleeve diet. I had a week of clears, a week of full liquids and now a week to three weeks of soft foods such as blended meats/moist, Soups, oatmeal and grits or cream of wheat, scrambled or soft eggs and yogurt. I tried my first soft food of Greek yogurt and refriwd Beans with a little cheese puréed together. Yummmm! My sleeve tolerated it well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
