Recommended Posts

Its called POSE, still new so no real data, but its through the esophagus to the stomach, reducing 30% off. Its for 20 to 50 or more pounds.

I think it's done as more of a second surgery to assist WLS patients who either have not reached goal, or who have gained back some from their wls. I wonder if any non wls folks have underwent this.

Looks interesting but I don't think it is better than the sleeve, it looks though the stomach can stretch out again. But I'm no doctor, I'm happy with what I got.

I will try to update you as the actual surgeon who does this procedure is calling me tomorrow afternoon. I will be talking to him about the sleeve also. Their sleeve prices range from 13600-18100 depending on BMI and comorbidities. Also calling a facility that is in the US supposedly offering competitve prices with Mexico higher priced offerings. The pose procedure is a primary procedure. The ROSE procedure is the secondary procedure for RNY's and i suppose even stretched sleeves! My guess is that the POSE is similar to the plication w/o as much reduction. The website does have a few video testimonies available. They are also doing them in Europe.

I talked with Dr Lavin today. Sounds like a good guy. He said it is aimed at those 20-50 lbs. and currently but is doing well and time will tell. He did recommend me for a sleeve. Sleeve are priced well at their facility as far as US prices go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
