I'm at 12 weeks (as of Thursday) and I get between 1K and 1100 per day. My weakness is nuts and nut butters. My Protein and fluids are good, but the nuts keep calling my name. I think I may need an intervention

Yikes. I love those too, but I've gotten to where I refuse to give up the calories for it. I'm looking for the most filling Protein for the calories. I'm trying hard to stick to 800 calories, so I need volume!

I admit that I'm pretty "nuts" for the 100 calorie pack dry roasted almonds

They are soooo good and the whole pack is just enough of a portion for me. I really enjoy the crunch part of it too 

For a substitute for nut butters, you might want to try PB2. It's a powdered Peanut Butter that you mix with Water. It's something like 45 calories for two tablespoons and really low fat. Plus they have a chocolate flavored variety! It mixes really well in Protein Shakes, too. You can order online from Amazon or the company's website (just Google it) or a lot of health stores carry it. The company's website has a store locator.

Dooter, it is freakin' awesome! They also have PB2 crackers that taste like Nutter Butters. They're sold in 100 calorie snack packs and there are about 15-20 in a pack. You could easily break that pack up into 3-5 Snacks and be completely satisfied. I you have a Central Market in your area, they carry the product.

Off topic, I just wanted to let you know I noticed your new avi. Although I loved your old one (I think it reflected your personality perfectly) you look really awesome in the new pic. Keep it up!

I love nuts but try to limit them, if I didnt I think I would just sit there on a bunch. I love the Blue Diamond honey mustard almonds, they remind me of those honey mustard pretzels.< /p>

I don't see what's so bad about nuts. They are healthy. They are a good source of Fiber and some are high in Protein. They are loaded with good fats. Don't eliminate healthy foods from your diet. There is a place in your diet for nuts. If we eliminated everything someone posted about eliminating we'd only be eating chicken breast and fat free ham. Eat some nuts..... please!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
