1 Month Since Revision To Sleeve, Still 0 Weight Loss.

Recommended Posts

I'm at a complete loss. I'm walking 3 miles 5 days a week. I'm drinking as much as I can and getting all the Protein I can. I'm starting at a low weight - 187 - but I should have lost SOMETHING by now just by the fact that I'm exercising so much. Arghhhh. No idea what to do.

I should add that the 10lbs that show on my ticker are pre-op diet weight loss. I'm actually up 2 from that.

Have you called your doctor? It is possible that you're still retaining Fluid from surgery, but that seems unlikely at one month post op. It's also likely that your exercise is keeping you from losing because you're at such a low BMI, you could really be converting fat to muscle quickly. How are your clothes fitting? Have you taken your measurements? Those two things show a much clearer picture of loss than that stinking, lying scale shows. My scale shows I've gained 3 pounds, but my pants are falling off and I've lost 10 inches this month. I'll take the physcial proof over the scale's number any day of the week. :)

Good luck!

It doesn't seem like my clothes are any looser but I haven't been measuring. I'll start that tonight when I get home because this is driving me crazy. I expected weightloss to be slow with my BMI being so low and the fact that I had a band and I'm used to eating this way but I wasn't expecting absolutely nothing.

It does seem unusual that you haven't lost anything. I hope you find out what's causing it soon. :)

Are you using MyFitnessPal or some other means to track everything you eat? That can help to get some perspective when you look at everything over the past week.

Exercise is great, but that is only half of the equation. What are you eating and in what portions? Are you drinking with you meals? Even a sip? Protein first?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
