I had this until about 8 weeks out. It's gone now. It'll go away. Eat slower, chew lots, tiny bites, and NEVER drink while eating. It'll help.

Yes, definetly, feels like it won't go down and it does not come up, and yes I eat VERY slow tiny bites.

We went to Ihop yesterday and they thought I did not like the food cause I ate so slow and so little, told them my little secret and they comped the meal.

Yes nexium

Nexium is expensive isn't it? I take Pantoprazole 40mg twice a day, it works just as good and is only $10 for a month supply of 60 pills with my insurance.(they don't cover nexium)

I do follow these rules but it still happens sometimes. I just have to get used to it and I can tell when its about to happen and I stop eatting for a few minutes.

Thanks

Thank you for your post. I'm 5 weeks out and I am on pureed food. It seems like my calorie and food intake is a lot less than other people.

I made 2.5 ounce bag of tuna with ff mayo and I halved it which left me with 1.25 ounce of tuna salad, and grabbed 3 teaspoons of cottage cheese. I mastered chewing cottage down, and I chewed the heck out of the tuna and I was able to master a whopping 1/2 bite of the tuna and I had to mix the cottage cheese for the second bite of the tuna it seemed like it was stuck and sliding down and when the first hit the entrance from the esophagus to the tummy it was like someone was wringing my stomach and esophagus.

I went for my second bite and and that's all she wrote. After that got down I relaxed a bit and decide to try one teaspoon of cottage cheese and call it a day.

I basically ended up eating a little over a teaspoon of cottage cheese, and two 1/2 teaspoons of tuna salad.< /p>

Equaling 1/2 ounce of food. Wow great dinner.

I am hoping that I can pick up the pace a bit. I have a deficit in calories every day...because of my exercise. I am doing shakes, I'll probably have to get another in now.

It's kind of got me wigged out a little bit because I'm suppose to be starting soft next week and I can't seem to get purees down.

Please someone tell me is Tuna a little harder on the system. It's all I have craved since pre-op shake lol.

ps I got nauseated for a while and I had to tell my husband to stop playing the fake drums during dinner because he was making it worse.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
