  1. Dayuuum, I had 3 sips of my wifes margaritta at Don Pablos and she had to drive home
  2. Good work, I was 600 on surgery date 3-21-12 now 422. it's now slowing down to 1-2 lbs per week
  3. You are doing great, keep it up-I mean keep it off lol I am down 160 lbs since 3-21-12 still have a ways to go but I am finally going in the right direction. We went to Famous Daves lst night(bbq) and the manager came over and asked if my food was ok(with a puzzled look) I said it was GREAT, he said am I sure as I only ate 1 rib 1 small piece of chicken and a fork full of cole slaw, I told him about my VSG and he comped my meal WOW
  4. Don't tell Dr Shoppe but no very little exercise, just go to the pool when I can and eatting right, sometimes I still follow my pre-op diet to keep it moving, I still have a long way to go-about 250 lbs more to goal
  5. Anesthesia puts this in after you are asleep to keep you breathing, it does not hurt and will be out before you wake up. You may have a sore throat for a few hours, no fears all happiness. Yesterday I hit the 150 lb loss since 3-21-12 VSG, I feel so good and had half a hot dog and a scoop of potato salad for the 4th celebration
  6. Grilled chicken I do, Greek yogurt I believe is high in fat/ calories? I stick with light and free Dannon
  7. Hang in there, the first week post op I was screaming in pain "what did I do to myself". It definetly gets better. For fluids I drank a shot glass full of Water every 15 minutes, so much easier seeing it in small glasses.
  8. Now you look like a teenager, awesome looks great
  9. Don't give up!!!, It took me 10, yes 10 long years to get it done, I went through all the insurance hoops(mine was 6 mos of nut and 2 psyc visits along with excercise class and more) Than after I complied with everything the insurance company said this is no longer a covered procedure by your plan I called my companies HR and CEO and they made an exception for it. Please contact your employer and beg for an exception to get it done, explain to them how it's cheaper to get you healthy rather than pay for continued heath problems.
  10. Dr Shoppe did my VSG @ WHC and he is AWESOME and his staff is the most caring gentle and caring group of medical professionals I have ever dealt with, I LOVE him..1 You will not wake up with a tube down your throat, they put it in when your asleep and it is removed before you wake up, btw, everyone has a trach tube installed by anesthesia. 2 I was given morphine injections by needle when I mentioned pain but had to stop them due to nasea, the pain was easier to take. 3 I did not have any drainage tubes but I know some people that have, ask MRJgetssleeved about his. Any more questions? Please ask I am happy to help
  11. In weds at 11am out thurs at 9pm, I was slow coming out of recovery almost 8 hours
  12. I have strong feelings it is going to happen for you, keep the faith.
  13. Citracal has Calcium Gummies and they are really good and my nut says there great for us. My Flintstones chewable multi vits are a different story, yuk and I have 4 bottles to chew through, I need a better multi vit as sweet/tart chews are aweful.
  14. I hope your husband does not get jealous of Steve, lol
  15. Are you male or female? Females lose much slower. FWIW, watch labels on anything you eat-it must be 3grams of fat or less per 100 calories. Stay under 100 grams of carbs per day. Stay away from Caffeine, soda and bread. Hope this helps, not trying to be bossy
