The photo didn't show up.. so here's attempt #2... hope it works.

You are lucky. They wouldn't take a picture of mine even though I asked them too.

Oh, alright. The surgeon was actually the one who brought it up to my husband.. He asked him if he wanted photos so he snapped away.. :)

I work in the OR so I asked my friends to record the surgery for me. This is a picture of the removed part of the stomach on the right. The left is the staple line along the bougie inside.post-29123-13813658887545_thumb.jpg

Rodswife.. That's too bad I don't see why they couldn't help you out with that.. It's just a photo...

Military hospital. Liability etc. I was disappointed.

Military hospital. Liability etc. I was disappointed.

I guess that is policy (SOP, whatever), but I cannot see why taking a picture of a dead organ could cause a liability issue.

I forgot to ask them to take a picture. I would have wanted an inside picture like amr got. Heck, I would want a video of the whole thing!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
