  2. Awesome! I've done this before, but forgot about it. Thank you
  3. I've also taken Biotin.. and I started way before I had the surgery. Nothing helps.. but I will say that I have locs and that I've only lost hair along the right side of my hairline. Not much though.. But let me input that that area's always been a week spot/stress point for me. Sooo.. with me It seems I've only lost hair where I've had troubles in the past. Other than that everythings great.. That's literally the only spot where I've lost hair.. The rest of my hair/hairline is very thick and has stayed put... I wonder if I didn't have damage in that area would I be losing hair at all..hmmm lol

Not feeling hungry has never happened for me. After surgery of course my appetite was non-existant, but 3 months out I started getting hunger pangs. So I ate. And sometimes they would come often, and again, I ate. It never hindered my weight loss in anyway either. I figured if my body is telling me it's hungry then..chow down, but only on healthy foods. My hunger is sated very easily and I know that's because of the surgery. As far as the second question - I don't really remember a "magic number" per say, but I did notice is was a lot easier for me to get around, and have more energy 2 months out. Walking up the steps became so much easier and standing on my feet didn't hurt my back as much. I danced when I put on clothing I wasn't able to fit into for a while. Yep. Dancing is how I celebrate. I did a little jig this morning after I come off the scale. 2 lbs lighter is worth a dance and a shimmy to me... lol The weight loss has always show in my face first, but this time it's my derrier as well, which I'm soooo happy about. My butt had it's own zip code. Oh, and my hands.. I can actually see veins, bones and tendons which is so cool! I've always wanted slender hands.
  5. this surgery has brought me so much joy. i actually look forward to life now and being a participant in it. right now im 262.4 and the HW being 346. I truly hope everyone else is having a great journey. God bless you guys and lets rock that sleeve!!!!!
  6. sleeved April 27 and down 61.6 lbs and 16 lbs pre op....so 77.6 total. size 26 pants to an 18w and 30/32 top to an xl/1x. I'm hoping to weigh between170-180 lbs....I have about 90 lbs left to lose..
  7. Hi, Rahnava... I too was sleeved by Dr. Garcia..Surgery day was April 27.. So far I've lost 55.3 lbs post op, but I lost 16 lbs pre op..for a total of 71 lbs. I completely understand about the 5-6 lb weight gain during TOM. I'm currently going through it right now and its' so frustrating, but even if we're smaller and at our goals this would still happen..I see it as one of the woe's of being a woman.. You'll break out of the 60's I'm sure of it.. I was stuck for about 3 wks at 300 lbs and within 2 days... i literally dropped 4.5 lbs. I upped my workouts and spent more time outside sweating and I believe that helped a lot... I agree with Lauranbob... 60lbs in 6months is awesome! Sure we'd like for it to be more, but I've found that we all lose differently.. I've read on here where some have lost 100 lbs by month 4 but that clearly isn't in the cards for me.. As long as we're losing that's what's important, right? My goal is to lose 9-10 lbs a month. Anything extra is just icing on the cake... Sometimes I've exceeded that and other times like this month I have not.. I've only lost 7.8 lbs for July, but it's 7.8 lbs less on me than before. I have about 100 lbs to loose myself. So I figured 9-10 lbs in a month in a 10 month period is feasible. I don't think I'm reaching for the stars with that amount... We can do this!! Set backs..stall's or whatever you call them are bound to happen.. But as long as we're following the plan we can't lose... Stay encouraged, okay?
  8. Woot is right! and Woot to your 29 lbs lost!!
  9. Thanks so much.. I'm trying to work this sleeve! So far so good...
  10. Wow! So today is exactly a month since I made this post and I'm Happy to report I'm 22.8 lbs down since then. For a total of 72.3 lbs since April...16lbs pre op and 56.3 lbs post op. Gosh I LOVE my sleeve!!! Just thought I'd share that. Have a good one everybody...
  11. I went through and thought the same thing and was very frustrated when It happened. I've had 2 or 3 stalls since my surgery in April and for me I found that getting extra protein helped break it..especially protein from Chicken.. I don't know what it is about it..but it helps melt the lbs off me. So try upping the protein and see if that helps. When I do this I always loose about 3-5lbs in a day or two.
  12. lol, He just might have to be jealous of him, but he'll have to deal because,Steve's not going anywhere.. He's gonna have to share me ....lmbo
  13. Yes it is!! Success taste so good! I'm not done yet, but I'm over that milestone and happy about it!
  14. Can we say HAPPY!?!?!?!?! Because, that's what I am! I am officially out of the 300's and in the 2's. As of today I am 296.5lbs coming from 346 lbs in April. I thought I'd never break out of the 3's. I hoovered at 300.1 for 2 weeks and BAM! The 3's no more! and I'm never going back.. ya, hear me?! NEVER! lol I am so happy with my sleeve. Matter of fact I'm in love with him. I call him Steve by the way.. "Steve the sleeve" lmbo and Steve brings me so much joy and happiness. I'm happy I made the decision to have VSG.. It's done me nothing but a ton of good, thus far. Losing feels so good!!!
