Good luck with the 3 docs in Austin. It seems most of the docs are not taking patients who were banded by someone else.

It would help if your original doctor would make a phone call to them also.

I wish you luck!

My Dr. does take new patients - if they were banded in the states. (I believe). His name is Dr. Frank Veninga

Plaza II - Suite 205

Carrollton, Texas 75010

Have you had any luck with anything any closer?

I guess I'm just going to have to fly back to Indiana to see my own doctor. I've been having problems since I flew around the 4th. I called my doctors office and they said it sounded like I have extra air trapped. I'm looking for a doctor here that does his fills under Flo but I called 3 and they do not.

How can a doctor give a good fill without seeing how much he is putting in the band?? That just makes no sence to me, and if you have to keep going back for a cc here and a cc there that is just $$$ you could save if he used the flo. Just my view..

I need the Fluid removed to get the air out and then all of it put back in. I have 3.00cc and it is perfect.

With being banded in another state doctors just don't want to mess with a new person..

Oh well thanks!

This is true. Somehow, when they're selling the surgery, they forget to make these points clear. This is definitely something Inamed needs to help get sorted out. Patients move!

I agree with you about the flouro. My fills in San Francisco were always under flouro and the guy always pulled it all out, then closed the band off and backed off of that until he felt the fill was tight enough but not overly tight. I miss him so much!

I do believe someone with experience and the knowledge about how the band REALLY works can do fills without flouro, but I really prefer it myself. My experience has been that it just turns out better in the long run.

Did you call Dr. Maese in Ferris, Texas? Another option you might have is to call around to some of the Imaging centers. I know there are some radiologists who will do fills without doctors orders and in my experience the Radiologists are very good. That's who was doing mine in SF. If they are experienced they are often better than the docs who really prefer not to have to do the aftercare.

I hope you find someone soon! Have you contacted Inamed? They have a list of doctors and possibly might be able to refer you to an Imaging center. www.inamed.com

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
