On my plan, it says I can try grits, cream of wheat, and oatmeal after 4 weeks as long as it is REALLY runny at that point. I can try it thicker at 7 weeks. I guess it will depend on your plan and progression. Also, if you don't tolerate it one time, wait a few weeks and try again.

I've been eating it for a little while now, get some sugar free instant and mix it up kinda runny, then put in some kind of artificial sweetener. be warned though, it's very filling and has little nutritional value, so the other meals of the day will need to be more healthy than usual.

I eat oatmeal 4-5 days a week- and if you make it extra milky (using Protein drink) or almond milk during mushies it works really good and fills you up- I remember the days I could eat 3 pouches- Now I eat 1 and am stuffed all morning and 1./2 the afternoon...

I started eating it about 9 months out. I was afraid to try it sooner because I had issues with bread, rice, and Pasta early on. I eat 1/4 cup of oatmeal made with 1/2 cup of Water at Breakfast now instead of a slice of toast. Tastes great with a little splenda and I haven't had any problems.

Thats not true at all. Oatmeal has a lot of nutritional value. For one, it lowers cholesterol. For two, it is an excellent source of Fiber and contains about 6g of Protein per cup. It is also chalk full of Vitamins and minerals and 18 different amino acids. Oatmeal is very good for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
