No shopping for me YET. I got three dress in the back of my closet and moved them to the front of my closet. They're two sizes too small. I've missed them dearly. Now they're the first thing I see when I sit up in bed in the morning. Here I come, red dress!!!

Added Tonibugg - and was wondering when your surgery is Trcyprkr70?

I am still waiting on my insurance authorization. All of my steps has been completed. I called the doctor office yesterday and was told it take up to three weeks.

Hi @ Trcyprkr70' date='

I'm having surgery with Dr. Coirin Modesto as well this Friday, June 1st. Good luck to you! :)[/quote']

I wish the best on your journey to becoming a new you. Wish I was going to be a June sleever. How long did you have to wait before hearing an answer from your insurance? Also after you was approved by your insurance how long did you have to wait for a surgery date?

This is great! I bought underwear two sizes smaller thinking that I would need them first before any of my clothes! A "mini goal" outfit is a great idea! I think I will shop this weekend for one. I'll leave it on the hanger and dangle it like a carrot! Thanks for the idea! Come on June..........................

I'm waiting to get my surgery date before I buy something. I saw this hott swimsuit in the mall the other day but I got a feeling that my surgery won't be done early enough to buy it and wear it this summer. Maybe I will buy some jeans and fitted shirt for my goal motivation after I get my date. Actually smaller undies sounds like a good place to start. :-)

I'm June 11th as well...no need to buy any clothes right now...I think I have 3 different sizes in my 2 closets (I've lost and found 100 pounds twice before) plus I dress for comfort, not style.....so I will work with those until people began to complain about them being too big! LOL

I finished my preop labs and registration yesterday. Today they called to let me know my 8am surgery had to be moved up to 10 am :( I've

waited this long though so 2 more hours shouldn't hurt! :)

Hi,

I just saw this so sorry for the late response. My insurance approved me in 7 days, even though the office told me it can take up to 30 days. Then when they called, which was May 7 they wanted book me for May.22nd. Which is not bad at all, but the next mandatory pre op class wasn't until May 30th, which gave me my June 1st date. Have you heard anything yet? Or tried calling?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
