1. Omg, thank you. See I have no idea how this stuff works. Maybe this is where the self pay can help me out a bit. She wants to get a loan to make payments on, and wants a good Dr in Mex. Can someone tell me how the whole process works over there and how she would be able to get a loan and set up surgery with one of the good drs you all speak about?
2. Hi all, I've already been sleeved (June 1st), which was covered by my insurance 100% and was done here in the states, but now my best friend wants to get it done but will be self pay since she has no insurance. Anyway, apparently the gentleman (for Dr. Garcia in Mex) she has been speaking to regarding the loan says that she was approved for 3700. He also says that she can be approved for 5000 but she would need to get a consultation from a Dr here in the states stating THAT Dr would be doing the surgery, they (the ppl in Mexico) would then submit that ppwrk to get the loan approved. ? Meaning the loan wouldn't get approved if it was for a Dr. in Mexico? Does this sound right? She is wanting the higher loan because of traveling expenses and hotel fee and any other unexpected things that may arise. Can you guys tell me if this sounds right? Hope how I worded this all makes sense. =/

23. Omg! I feel like a teenager again. It's crazy! I've been trying all kinds of face wash, nothing is helping. I'm at a loss. =/
24. Thanks so much to everyone. Seriously, they are all great answers. Well, I went ahead and told get the partial truth last night, and something just don't feel right. It's been bothering me all night and today. =/ I never wanted to be this "spokesperson" or peoples deciding factor for thier weight loss problems (or solutions), I do feel good about when people ask me for advice I can steer then in the direction of high protein, low to no carb, but to call my Dad a liar when in fact he was happy for me and told the truth; I feel wrong for. Soooo with all that being said, I'm just going to write my story/journey and post it. If it helps someone, great; if someone thinks differently of me, welp, not my problem. =) At least i'm free, by sharing the truth. Love you all.
25. So I posted on FB today that i'm down 50lbs and have gotten a lot of congrats and such. But then I got this text from my cousin. "hey i'm trying to clear up a rumor ur dad started.. and i dont believe it... did u have surgery to loose the weight?" How would you respond. I didn't tell very many people, at all. (Mostly just my immediate family). I don't want to take away from all the hard work I put in by people thinking I took "the easy way out". Help.
26. Here's a picture of my lasagna cupcakes I madea few days ago. The BF loved em'.
27. It's body fortress, from Walmart; 14 bucks. Great buy. Enjoy, Girl!
28. Just made me a shake! It's soooo good! - Filled the mini-blender half full with ice. - Half a banana - A couple frozen peach, mango, strawberry's - Fill to brim with milk - Scoop of vanilla Protien It's amazing. <3
29. I had one repaired as well and wasn't aware I had one until after surgery, when my surgeon told me he fixed it.
30. I'm four weeks out and just had Papa Murphys veggie delite thin crust pizza. One slice was super filling. I agree that the thin crust is cracker like and changes the ability for it to expand. Yes, it has carbs but it's unlike before; I would have had 3 slices of Chicago stuffed pizza. Moderation is key, and i'm only able to stick to this rule thanks to my sleeve.
31. I was told 15 before and an hour after. Yikes!! =T
32. Lissa, Your post spoke tremendously to me just now. I was sleeved June 1st and although I am losing and absolutely pleased with my decision to get sleeved, I still find that I put myself last. I still have yet purchase any Protein powder due to the cost and feeling guilty for spending that much money on myself. I mean what if i dont like it, it would just go to waste and that is money I could of spent on groceries for my family. The same with my B-12 and Calcium Vitamins. It's really sad that I feel so guilty about investing in my own health and well being. But it's true that no one looks out for you except for your own self. I need to get it together and put my foot down and.realize that I am important. Thank you again, Lissa.
