Ok, so at 22mths post op I am still not at goal... and I am still obese... but you know what... photos don't lie!

I am attatching two pics; fir from May 2010 at my heaviest 238lbs and the second from May 2012 at my current weight of 165lb.

Like I said, I am 14-24lbs away from goal and still obese... so work this out!

Now, I don't want to sound cocky but I think I am looking ok in the second one... I absolutely hate the first one, and this is one of my 'better' pre op pictures!

Those of you out there who aren't at goal or in the stall from hell, I hope that seeing these pics help you to realise that the scale and the BMI are JUST numbers and there is more to success than the numbers.

Coops, You do look fantastic!!! :) I agree that the scale lies like a dog! I've dropped three sizes in the last three months, but less than 10 pounds in the same time period.

You are adorable and not obese!!! I know about those numbers--- according to national averages & because of my height, I should weigh something like 109# --- but I would look like a skeleton!!!! You look wonderful & I can tell you've worked hard at it!

Well, you have all cheered me up no end... I am feeling a lil 'blurghhh' and those lovely comments put a smile on my face! Not sure about being beautiful, but defiantely better...lol

I am currently in sorta semi maintance mode... can't seem to shift that last bit - and there is some fat left to shift - but I ain't in the right place at the moment. I will get back to it, when I am good and ready. I do want to make my surgeon's goal of 154lbs and would love to get to my personal goal of 138, but when I look back I really do see a huge difference now. It has taken a long time mind, only in the last couple of months have I considered myself a 'real' success - sometimes not being at a goal weight is just soooo bloody frustrating and, for me, it can lead to a negative train of thought. So now I amd trying to focus on all the positive stuff.

One day I might break this 7mth stall... until then smile and say 'cheese'!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
