I'm Having A Liquid Diet Breakdown

Recommended Posts

Just got done crying in the kitchen while looking at this NASTY broth!

I'm ready to do this, but the thought of not being to have anything filling or with flavor for the next month of so is really getting to me.

I think homeless people eat more food than this, 10 day liquid diet blows!....

I'm 6 days into this, and cranky! luckily today was my last day at work because i feel a total breakdown coming...

Ok i'm done venting, i did cheat and eat 2 crackers with my wonderful yuky broth.. ..

Thanks for listening. :)

Do you just use a plain broth? I was told by my nut. to drain juice from the reg. Soups as they have a little more flavor or is that what you do? Glad I did not have to do this long and only after surgery thankfully after surgery eating does not feel that good so you don't mind eating broth so much. Good luck!

Yeah i'm using regular beef and chicken broth, my NUT has already called me twice and asks how i'am and just tells me stick to it and it will be over soon...

I hope with a much smaller tummy i won't feel the hunger pains i feel now, when my dog looks good to eat ya know you have problems :)

i wish every doctor followed the same rules, everyone has such different rules, but i must say i'm happy not to be on a longer diet like i have seen people need to do 20 days, i'd be dead..

I am sitting here eating popsicles from Wal-Mart. They are called "Budgetsaver popsicles". They have different flavors in the sugar free version, which are 30 calories. They are good. Also, Panara's bread French Onion Soup is 210 calories.

Buy ramen noodles and use the packet of seasoning to make broth. Just heat Water and add the packet. The only way I could have broth. (just throw the noodles away).

Probably as much as any other broth. Not sure... Was never able to find the sodium content of just the packet.

Beef ramen noodles for lunch WAYYY better than the crap in the can....

Today i think i'm running on pure adrenalan, because i've been cleaning like a nutcase, my mom said people get like the right before surgery, maybe she is trying to make me feel better...I don't think my husband is minding the cleaning less stuff on his chore list..

Partially too because i want to come back home to a spotless house it seems to always make me feel better.. i also got my lawn chairs ready to go recovery in the sun is going to be a good thing....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
