I feel like this 6 month diet is going at a snails pace. And I'm starting to feel kind of jealous. I see all these posts about people getting approved and I just want to be there already. Any advice for an impatient newbie on how to make this not so lagging? thanks

I felt the same way for the 3 months that I was on my supervised diet, reading all the people that were approved everyday that I came on this site was so bitterweet. I was happy for them, but never really thought that I would ever get MY date for surgery.

Then I got the call on Monday letting me know that I was approved and will have my surgery on June 1st.

I felt like it was the longest 3 months of my life, but when I think about it, it wasn't that bad. In the meantime i tried to read and gain all the knowledge that I could about the surgery and tooka a good look at myself and my eating habits and figured out what I needed to change.

Don't worry, it will all come together and soon you'll get to post that you've been approved. Good luck with everything ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
