August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

Hi all ! I'm being sleeved August 8th, 2012 by Dr Morris Washington in Myrtle Beach SC. Is there any other august sleevers on here?

I'm 27 (almost) ---about 100-130 to lose.

Anyone tried chia seeds yet? I've been adding them to my protein smoothies. They add a lot of fiber and bulk, really helping with satiety.

I haven't tried them or ever heard of them. Where do you get them?

That makes two of us Cegull, I have flax seed and I like them. You don't even notice them in a shake =)

I heard good things about chia seeds. I'm on day 3 of the liquid diet and I cheated. I had half a piece of cheese pizza and I licked a spoon of mashed potatoes while cooking them for my son....I definetly am more hungry today and have a head ache. Tomorrow will be better :)

I found this chart and thought it would be a help for ideas =)

So I made a imitation pre-op diet version of egg drop soup, used my chicken broth and some liquid egg beaters dropped in when it was boiling, then use a Chinese bowl and spoon for more of the effect for it and made it through another bowl of broth. What types of things are you trying through the pre-op diet to help you?

My local grocery store HEB, that has a rather extensive whole foods/health section has them. They are the same seeds used with the Chia Plants from years ago. They plump up in liquid and have kind of a tapioca consistency with a little crunch. Here's a link to the kind I have:

You can google them to see the benefits. They really help bulk up my Protein Shake. You can also use the to make a "pudding" but I haven't figured out a good tasting one yet. :)

Yes, it will. Don't beat yourself up, just get back on the horse, so to speak. ^_^

I have never heard of them before. Just a question here, please I am not trying to be rude, just trying to be informed. Are these seeds cleared for the liquid diet? I have no problems with satiety right now but may look into the future if I have problems. But I am worried. Do these seeds cook up? do they stay seeds? How well do they empty from the stomach? What happens if we are using them, our stomachs don't get rid of all of them and some small tiny seeds get hung in the staple/cut lines. Will they cause harm?

Not cheap' date=' thrifty! ;) Second-hand is my favorite way to go![/quote']

Hey all I feel like I have been gone forever........maybe it is just me or where I live but thrift in p,us is so not an option...I wish.... Needless to say some lucky woman is go. A get about twenty grand In clothing lol.....

So I keep having dark dreams of death and dying on the table and all...anyone else going through this....I even dreamed last night that I was visited and told if I didnt stop this surgery I would die.....would like to shake this and hope its just part of this weird issue of going back and forth and some being scared etc

Hey my sister......I was out today and read this in the morning.....was in a huge hurry to get home so I could message......I am about to tip my hat and I am hoping I will not be out of place......but I know a thing or two about dreams,.....at least in that is the claim........typically a dream of death is a fear of the change you are about to undergo.....letting go of the old and becoming a new person.........it is usually the fear of the ending of something but in your case....I think it is the fear of not changing....the fear that you Re going through all of this and it doesn't work........but and this is where I tip my hat... I have been known by a few hundred thousand people to be reasonably accurate.........grin.....you are going to do great sweetheart.....the weight is coming off and you are goi g to feel and be in a great place in your life.......your subconscious knows you are in for a lot of changes andi is just making room......suggestion.....get some smokey quartz angel....you feel people and food has been a vice for you.....have smokey quartz with you and things with calm down......hugs.....

I am using them for pre-op satiety. I would think that they would NOT be appropriate for the post-op liquid phase, and not until after everything is completely healed at 3 to 4 weeks post op. Veteran VSGers on here use them, especially for "regularity" purposes because they are almost completely fiber. HTH.
