Hi all ! I'm being sleeved August 8th, 2012 by Dr Morris Washington in Myrtle Beach SC. Is there any other august sleevers on here?

Hello Everyone ,

I was sleeved on August 21, 2012 . My start weight was 243 and I'm now done to 188. I am so disappointed with myself as I have not lost weight in 2 months. I'm so frustrated and don't know if this is normal to go this long with out losing. Any one out there in the same situation ??

Hi!! We are almost identical!! I started at 253, had surgery August 21, AND am now at 196. I was losing very slowly and i was ok w that, and then 2 months ago I stalled. Came to a grinding halt. About a week and a half ago it started to move again.

I refuse to be disappointed in myself. I am eating right and exercising. There's not much else that I CAN do.

My advice to you is don't give up. If you are following the program then eventually it has to work. It just has to!! Good luck.

Well I hope this weight starts coming off. I have to admit there's days were I don't get to drink as much water and I have not started excising. So I will work on that and see what happens. I set a goal of 80 pounds when I got sleeved , I hope I would at least get to achieve it. I would like to hear back from the August sleevers what is your typical diet ? Perhaps I'm eating the wrong things or not enough of the right things ????

August 21 sleevers ... How much weight have you lost so far and what's your typical diet ???

I have lost 96 pounds and 86 from surgery date which was 8/6/12. I can't believe it has been 6 months, sooo happy. I do not drink any calories unless I put skim milk in my coffee. I have a protein breakfast bar got breakfast. Meat and cheese stick for lunch and for dinner meat and vegetable. If a have a snack I have turkey pepporoni, beef jerkey, protein chips or apple slices.

Wow shane u look great!!!! Keep it up..u look about 15 yrs younger!

Look at you!! Even your wrists and ankles are smaller!

I know, but now working on my sagging boobs! I've been bike riding 20 something miles almost every other day, now got to start slinging the weights around!

Hey, when I decided to do weight loss surgery I weighed 442 pounds, my first visit with Dr. Korn I weighed 435. My insurance required a six month supervised diet, at the end of that and the day of the surgery I weighed 370 Pounds. Today I weighed 235 pounds for a loss of 200 pounds since I started with Dr. Korn 135 pound since surgery and an overall loss of 207 pounds! I feel great! My goal was 220 pounds but the doctor thinks 202. I am starting to think he is right! :)

200lbs! Wow! That's awesome!!!

I am right there with you. I was sleeved on Aug 28 and have also not lost for about 2 months. I even did a 3 week exercise bootcamp that totally kicked my butt and nothing was lost. At my 5 month follow-up I was told to keep doing what I am and not to worry...easy for them to say :) but they did explain to me that the average is to lose up to 70% of our weight within 2 years and that in 5 months I am at 52% so I was told I am ahead of the game. Any suggestions to break this stall would be very helpful...I plan on getting to the 100% mark of weight lose.
