Tummy tuck *pics*

Recommended Posts

It's funny you ask that. He saw the two pics I put together a few post's above, and he said "Wow, you really were big, huh? I never realised how big till now"

He just never saw it. We were both fat, and lost weight together (he lost 40kg / 88 lbs just eating what I did, and doing the same exercise as me) I never saw how fat *he* was till I saw pics of him.

I guess our love was blind?

You look fantastic and I am sure you will lose weight once everything settles down and you lose the tubes. Please keep us informed to how you are feeling. I am also thinking of having a TT maybe next Feb or March

Good Luck

Hey Aussie Chick,

How are you going this week? Hope the recovery is going well.

Your post band / PS comparison shots really show a difference in general health - as well as the obvious weight loss. My tummy, hips and legs look like your "before", except with more butt (:cry ), just hope I can shrink the skin back enough to only need a TT.

There's a couple of Aussies around here that I am really inspired by - yup, you'd be one of them!

Keep up the good work! Thinking of ya...

Anna.

PS Aussie Chick - YOU ROCK!!!

wow you look so great! I've been saying that, but the before and after ics are wonderful.

Are people screaming for you! I'm sure they are!

Did you get insurance to cover it. How many nights in the hospital? I forgot if you answered this already or not.

Cozzie ~ Thank you! I had the drains out on Monday, and my weight has remained steady at 61 kg / 134 lbs. I was under goal to start with, so I am not really hoping to lose any more weight at this stage.

Thank you Teresita! I have been enjoying my bod (well all the tiny clothes anyway! lol, My shopping is a wee bit out of control!) But I think that losing the pani / flap will make a huge difference in the summer.

Kim ~ Thank you.

Anna ~ You are going to make me cry here! ((hug))

Dianne ~ I think the loudest screams are coming from my husband! lol, He is just so impressed by my new bod. He married me slightly chubby, so he has never known me this thin - or flat, lol.

The short answer to "did insurance pay?" is yes. I am in Australia, and we have socialised medicine, so things are slightly different. My out of pocket for the whole thing is about $1800 -$2000 ($2000 is soo much better than the $25,000 I have seen others pay for the same thing!)

Thank you Heather, Tricia, and Pat. Thank you all. I do feel wonderful.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
