After Returning To Work I Find My Self Hungry More Often ?!?

Recommended Posts

Okay so I recently returned to work and I find that while at work I'm getting hungry more frequently? I'm not sure if it's due to the increase in activity and my body is metabolizing the food faster ? Oh FYI I'm an RN at a hospital so for 12 hours I am going constantly so I'm not sure if that's the reason and also I'm not able to actually sit down and eat so I'm just picking at my lunch here and there when I get a chance so just needed some feedback cause while I was at home I wasn't getting so hungry ?!?

I have another friend here on this website, Iliana82 who is also an RN working long hours. Perhaps you could send her a quick message for some strategies in dealing with the unique aspects of working the diet while keeping up with your hectic schedule at work.

Yup I know exactly what you are describing. I had to increase my calories by adding avocados etc... Cause i was getting dizzy and weak. It's hard to eat and drink while at work especially on a busy night. What I do is I pack all of my lunches and Snacks and leave them nearby where I can grab them quick. We can't have food or drinks at the nurse station so I leave mines in our break room and go at least every 3 hrs. But I keep a Protein Bar in my jacket for those busy nights. It's hard, I am still trying to figure out a good system.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
