Hi all, this is my first post. I've been stalking the group for a couple weeks and now I'm out in the open. The reason i joined this forum was every time I typed a question in Google about VSG, this forum showed up in the results and always had the best answers! So I joined and watched for a few days. I am so impressed by the knowledge and compassion of the people here. I haven't told a single friend, acquaintance, or family member about my decision but I feel totally comfortable sharing this journey will all of you.

More later and thank you for all you do!

G.

I had a feeling someone was stalking me! :D

Welcome!!!

This is an understanding bunch here. They are used to the good, the bad, and the ugly who are getting pretty. :)

Make yourself at home. Raid the fridge (but eat small portions.) :D

Welcome! I found this to be a huge help when I was going through all the pre-op crazies. Making this decision is incredibly personal and I've only shared with a few close friends and family. Some people are all out and loud about it and that's great for them too. Each of us has to take their own journey in their own way but that's another great thing about this site!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
