I am almost 4 weeks postop and am on soft foods. When I went for my 2 week postop appt, they told me that I should be on a regular diet by the time I come in for my 6 week appt. Good luck! I hope you find the answers you need.

First I have to tell you when I went into the examine room and the Dr start asking questions about what's going on with me I told him that I had gastric sleeve in Mexico he

Went off on me saying that's not a good idea going to Mexico because you need after care because what cause go wrong and a lot of doctors don't want to take you because people go out the US to have surgery but don't think about aftercare. I really felt bad and he was right he referred me to a Dr I hope he take me. But on the upside he gave me scope and everything is great I healing great but he told me I need to purée foods longer my stomach isn't ready for soft and tender foods yet and it's been 6 weeks well I I'm one of the people that take longer to heal.

Not surprised the US doctor went nuts on you. If they would smarten up along with the insurance companies they would keep us in the USA for surgery! I too am on my way to Mexico this weekend and not concerned at all. Take care of yourself! -_-

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
