I don't know if that is normal! 12 days post op, I felt great!! If you don't get better in a few days, I would contact your doctor or surgeon.

To JANIRN, I have terrible mood swings, and I cry a lot! I'm day 12 also, but I hope this gets better. I had my staples removed today. I also feel like my weight is not dropping fast compared to some on this site. Do smelling some food make you nauseous?

It can be. A LOT of people have a very negative lingering effects from surgery and anesthesia. It typically passes. Remember too that your diet has drastically changed and you are typically thrown in to ketosis, which really throws your mind and body in a tizzy.

Not to frighten you but I am 1 year 5 months out and STILL having a hard time with my emotions. I know guys are also prone to testosterone levels, as the body fat drops the amount of testosterone is still the same but the ratio of amount to body mass increases - LES body SAM T level + higher overall level.

I'm ten weeks out. Was walking 2.5 miles a day and down 55#. Just in a funk. Have not walked for two weeks. Tired of the limited diet. Perhaps I need to start cooking at home. Tired of Wendy's chili and taco bells refried Beans. Just depressed and lost motivation. Ugh!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
